Dolce and Gabbana's Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign

I know I'm a zillion years behind but I cant stop drooling over the beautiful Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign by Dolce and Gabbana. The collection by the designer duo was an inspiration from Sicily's enchanting and mysterious old heritage and culture. The beautiful, big, and bright florals and fruits, as well as the gold lashings of thick embroidery were the true definition surrounding this master class collection. Every item on this collection was to die for, and as usual, this theme was a surprise like most D&G fashion themes usually are. The duo didn't leave a single drop of perfection in generating a new wardrobe for a classy, sexy, and sassy woman and have become more profound each year.
The above collection is based on the Sicilian festivities glamour. Actress Monica Bellucci was the new celebrity ambassador for the collection along with supermodel Bianca Balti for this ad shoot. As an ardent fan of the Italian heritage, I couldn't resist uploading some more of these fabulous pictures from the campaign. Below are some of the bright and colorful summer collection from the same campaign:
What I really like about each of these photos is the freshness of a summer loving Italian family having a splendid yet simple time together. The young men playing guitars and the women dancing only relishes out warmth in most of us looking for an equally exciting and fun packed holidays with our own family.
What amazes me is that 47 years old Monica Bellucci looks absolutely stunning and younger in these fabulous girly pieces. She makes the twice younger but beautiful Bianca Balti look equal in front of her. Bellucci's traditional Italian looks and Botticelli curves were the ultimate sex appeal livening up the whole collection. Overall it was a pure definition of fine art by the talented designer duo and campaign director Giampaolo Sgura.
"When tradition meets beauty: Monica Bellucci, Bianca Balti, and Simone Nobili capture the essence of the Italian family. They look like they just walked off the set of a black and white Italian comedy shot in the south of Italy: they could be the Sofia Loren or the Anna Magnani of the Cinema Italiano, but they are Monica Bellucci and Bianca Balti, protagonists, together with Simone Nobili of the Dolce and Gabbana SS/2012 woman campaign"
